Meet Dr. Philip Kaplan

Dr. Philip Kaplan is a proud 1981 graduate of Tufts School of Dentistry located in Boston, USA.
After graduation,Dr. Kaplan completed a one-year general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, Fl. During this year, he furthered his dental education in an active dental clinic based in a hospital setting. This residency expanded his dental scope to include extensive oral and orthognathic surgery, emergency room treatment, operating room cases, and two months of general anesthesia. Dr. Kaplan had the privilege of working with some of south Florida’s finest practitioners.

Dr. Kaplan and his wife Raizy made Aliyah in 1982. He initially worked as an associate dentist and opened his own practice in 1985.

Dr. Kaplan spent one and a half years as a commander in the Bet Lid Dental Clinic while serving in Shalev Bet , the compulsory division of the Army. He continued serving in the army reserves for the next 20 years in the Tel Hashomer Dental Clinic where he performed hundreds of esthetic bonded anterior restorations.

Dr Kaplan is honored to be one of a small number of dentists throughout the world to serve for the last 35 years as an evaluator of new dental products for the Clinical Research Association. The results of the evaluations are printed in a monthly newsletter.

Dr Kaplan was the beta tester for a revolutionary digital dental scanner developed in Israel. The feedback provided by our office helped improve the scanner which is one of most widely sold scanners in the USA.

Dr. Kaplan has been passionately practicing dentistry for 38 years. The growth of our office is testimony to our continuing efforts to provide compassionate, gentle state of the art dental care.

Meet Dr. Laura Hadash 

Dr. Laura Hadash graduated at the top of her class, and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2009 from the University of Minnesota. In order to better serve her patients, Dr. Hadash pursued an additional year of training in Madison, WI. She completed a General Practice Residency at Meriter Hospital. Dr. Hadash worked as a general dentist in the United States for six years before making Aliyah and moving to Israel.

Dr. Hadash is excited to offer her patients all the knowledge, technology, and expertise she learned while practicing dentistry in the United States. Dr. Hadash has completed extensive post-graduate training in esthetic, comprehensive, and implant dentistry. She completed over 100 hours of continuing education at the SPEAR Institute, which is one of the leading providers of continuing education for clinical expertise and practice growth. She attended the Great Lakes Implant Institute for the surgical placement and restorations of dental implants. 

Dr. Hadash lives with her husband and son in Tel Aviv. She enjoys yoga and running on the beach. She believes that having a beautiful smile is the key to success!

Meet Dr. Shai Frankenthal

Dr. Frankenthal graduated his Specialization in Periodontology (treating gum disease and implantology) at the Rambam Health Care Campus, Haifa in 2003. He worked for 15 years as a senior doctor and as a clinical instructor of residence-students at the school of specialization in dentistry at the Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa.

He served in the army reserves in Tel Hashomer Periodontal department and has more than 20 years experience in the field.

Dr. Frankenthal published articles in the scientific literature and has lectured in international conferences.

Dr. Frankenthal served 8 years in the board of examiners and in the professional committee of the scientific council of the Israeli Dental Association for specialty license.

Dr. Frankenthal is the past president of the Israeli Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration and a member of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP).

My main expertise includes:

• Saving teeth in severe cases and treating gum recessions.
• Implants, Open and close Sinus lifts (sinus bone fill) and Building bone.
• Simplifying complex treatments and giving different treatment alternatives.

Meet Dr. Carlos Sacal

Dr. Carlos Sacal completed his undergraduate studies at UNITEC, University of Mexico. 

The following year, he completed one year of social service at the Mexican Perinatology Institute. In order to pursue his dream of working with children, he went to the University of Texas Health and Medical Center in Houston, where he finished a two year residency program.  During his residency, he gained vast experience with infants, children, and patients with special needs. His experience included treating children under nitrous oxide, conscious sedation, and general anesthesia, with a primary focus on behavior management, in order to create positive dental experiences for children.  

After his postgraduate studies, in 2000, Carlos founded and opened his own private pediatric dental clinic in Mexico. One of Dr. Carlos’ main strengths is building close relationships with his patients and their parental guardians. 

However, his primary focus is preventing dental disease without creating a fear of dental treatments in children.  After 21 years of working in his own practice, he decided to make Aliyah with his family in order to share expertise and experience in Israel.
